for our forests.
Working with and empowering Indigenous Communities who are defending and conserving their ancestral lands.

We’re For the Future—a grassroots, youth-led NGO based in the Philippines. We work with Indigenous partner communities who are at the forefront of restoring and defending their ancestral lands. Together, we co-create programs to reforest lands, educate the youth, and support climate affected communities.
Our ultimate goal is to support and equip the next generation of Indigenous leaders to lead our archipelago 🌏

How it started
For the Future started from a simple idea: If we could get everyone we knew to plant a tree, we'd have a whole forest by now. 7 years later, we still believe in the power of community as a vessel for the change we want to see in the world.
Today, we are a group of young artists and changemakers who gear our projects towards empowering the next generation through creativity, culture, and community.

"To cross the river, we have to be many."
- Chieftain Gabriel of the Yangil Tribe
We invite you to join our community and support our partners, the Yangil Tribe of Zambales and the Agusanon-Manobo Tribe of Lake Mambagongon.
We continue to weave and invest in cultural and creative aspects into all of our projects-- from reforestation, education, and typhoon relief.

In the Press

You don't need to be anyone else to be able to change the world.
Our team members all come from different roots but are committed to the same goal: making helping accessible for you, so you can easily support and empower our partner communities.
We hope to simplify the first step towards making your difference for our world. That by telling the stories of our friends, we in turn get more people to listen, then to act.
